Snow Day San Diego Style

Chris and I were pretty bummed this year that we couldn't make it to the snow, but no one was more disappointed than Rylee.  Soccer just started and our Saturdays are shot, so there was no way we could get away for the weekend and see the snow.

So spur of the moment we woke up this morning and decided to pack up the kiddos and head up to Julian for the day.  We were really hoping there would be at least a little snow and  it would fulfill Rylee's snow dream.  Luckily there was just enough!!

Brady loved wearing gloves and throwing the snow and lucky for us there was a snow man already built!!

Chris is the funnest dad ever. . . he pulled them on the sled in a half an inch of snow and

built his own snowman!!

After getting our fill of snow we headed into town looking for somewhere to eat.  The town is only 2 blocks long and all the restaurants are always full up with city slickers looking for a little bit of winter weather.  After finding the right place, our next stop was apple pie!!!

It may not be Mammoth but we had fun on our little snow day.  We live in an awesome city that has so much to offer, we vow this year to take more advantage of this city and see what there is to see.

OK NOW BRING ON SUMMER!!!!

Santa Barbara Family Pics

This past weekend we trekked it up to Santa Barbara for Chris's moms birthday.  She wanted us to come up so we could have some family pictures taken since the last ones didn't turn out to our liking!!!

The kids are always running like crazy and trying to get them to sit still for a picture is difficult. A four year old and 2 two year olds is challenging and then you add in the parents trying to get them to look in the right direction.  Half of the pictures that don't make it are the ones of me pointing at the camera trying to get Brady to look in the right direction (as if it really helps anyway)!!

The pictures that come out best are the ones that the kids orchestrate themselves.  Brady climbed up on this wall and then we just placed the girls around him and viola, not to bad.

Victoria was not having the group shot.  She wanted to be anywhere but here.  But these are the crazy things you can look back at and say ...remember that time we tried to take pictures at the duck pond and the kids were so crazy... that is almost better than the pictures themselves.

After picture taking we let the kids ride the carousel.  The girls couldn't wait to jump on but Brady not so much . . .

Brady was so done he wanted no part of the horses
Happy birthday Dianne hope you enjoyed having all the crazies in one spot!!!
