Summer of fun Part 1

Summer in my world only means one thing … the beach.   And that is exactly how we started out our summer. Not Newport Beach rather Del Mar beach. The kids don't really care what beach they are at as long as they get to go in the water and roll around in the sand.
I was hoping that this summer would be a lot different than last summer. Last summer it was only clouds and not one sunny day. Since we have had summer since winter, I was hoping the weather would continue and have lots of sunny days for the summer.
My wish came true and every day has been beautiful sunny in the morning, warm evenings … perfect beach days.

Perfect beach days result in perfectly napping children. I found out the longer Brady sleeps the longer he is up at night. That is bad for the mom.
Perfect sunny weather has also been perfect for summer nights. We went to the movie in the park. Riley was so excited when she found out that Brandon was also at the movie.

Coming back from the movie the kids were a little more tired than I expected.

We got to have a fun pool day at Sweeney and Brooks house Rylee got real brave and was jumping off the rock and coming down the slide!
we are incredibly lucky that we get to go to Newport Beach for the month of July. We packed all of our  stuff including Brady and we headed off to the beach
Before we made it to the beach we made a little pitstop to get my hair done to make sure I was Beach ready

Already summer has been so much fun and it isn't even July yet I can't imagine what this summer will hold if the weather continues to be so perfect …

Brady's 4th Birthday Party

OH MY GOSH BRADY IS FOUR!!!
Brady is about everything Super Hero right now. Superhero shirts action figures and most of all the super cape!!  We decided on a super hero themed party with the tumble bus.  Brady was super excited for the green bus to come.  We have been to a couple parties on the tumble bus so I knew Brady would love it.
He got to invite all of his friends including his newest cousin Cooper!!

My mom and I made all the kids, all personalized for each kid.  I made Brady's special, all birthday blinged out and of course he didn't want it.  Sometimes I don't know why I try with that kid!

Super heroes have the cutest poses!
Grayson, Carter, Cody, Brady, Quinn, Rylee Bella

Brady and the kids tumbled thier little hearts out on that green bus.  It must have been a million degrees inside that sucker.  The kids were all sweaty and red faced as they came pouring out of the bus.

JJ brought the hot dog roller and Chris BBQ'd hamburgers for the adults and it was  great party!!

The kids have been playing so well together lately it is awesome.  It was good to see some sibling love.  Rylee let him be the center of attention for once, and I think Brady actually really liked it.  He better not get used to it, I don't think Rylee will be giving it up anytime soon!
Having Bryn on maternity leave is fun.  The kids loved having her and Cooper at the house for Brady's birthday weekend.  Everyone loves Aunt B!!

Happy cousins.  I think Brady was a little hesitant to hold Cooper.  He would come around him and in his cutest little mommy voice would say "Hi Cooper"  It was so sweet!
Hope you loved your birthday party Brady, we loved celebrating with you

Brady's 4th birthday

Happy 4th Birthday to my Big Boy!
When you get to have your birthday in Newport you get to do some pretty cool things!
Brady started off his day by riding his bike down to 15th street to have breakfast on the beach.
Lucky for him, his favorite truck in the whole world pulled up right in front of us for breakfast!  It was a no questions asked photo op!
Birthday waffles for the four year old.  Breakfast on the beach is OK when you're 4 and you don't care that your waffles are cold or the syrup drizzled on top looks more like molasses because it's been in the fridge.  Nope four year old's don't really care (adults do just for the record!!)
After breakfast why not be the captain of your own boat??

We took a little duffy boat ride around Newport Harbor and it was fun.  We took snacks and birhtday cupcakes.  Everyone got a turn to drive.

Brady got lots of sports equipment for his birthday.  Baseball bat and balls, tennis racket and balls, pitching machine and he loves hitting all of them.

Even at four years old, where ever Brady goes the Daity must go too . . . when does it ever stop?!?!?

Brady has become a professional photo bomber!

There might have been people that had issues with my boat driving skills (gramps) and there might have been an incident involving extra large sail boats, but I can't really remember.  You will have to ask gramps!!
