A White Christmas girls weekend

So my dad called me up one day and asks… Do you think you your sister and your mom would want to go see white Christmas at the Pantages? My reply… Um yeah!
I call my mom and my sister and we are so excited. What a fun experience that we get to do just us girls. We really haven't done anything just the three of us probably since the kids were born. My mom found a cute little spot in LA for us to have dinner and we were off.
It was an old school spot right down the street on Hollywood and vine down the street from the Pantages. The waiter said their specialty was a

White Christmas the play isn't exactly the same as white Christmas the movie but it was just as fantastic especially during the holiday season. The whole adventure driving up having dinner seeing a play getting dressed up and driving home in the middle the night is just a fun experience. To be with my mom and my sister for a couple on interrupted adult ours was amazing we should do it more oftenmartini. No-brainer we had to try one. Guess what? Nobody liked it shocker. They also had an eight dollar avocado ceviche. Also no-brainer must try. When it arrived we were all shocked. Avocado sliced with thousand island dressing on top. Probably the best avocado and thousand Island combination I've ever had in my whole life would've paid $16.

Walking into the Pantages is just a beautiful site. The architecture of the whole theater is amazing. Sat down in our seats and about 15 people told us no flash photography no pictures no video no cameras no not it. As we sat in her seat I couldn't help but watch all the people taking pictures. I knew it was my turn to be the rule breaker. PS Yaya had no desire in being a rule breaker

Not having the kids was very freeing . . . Mom and I went down to the Mission Inn for a drink and lucky for us Bryn got to join us!

I helped my parents put up their christmas tree and it was fun watching Cooper do the ornaments with out the "help" of his big cousins. He could do it "all by myself"

Thanksgiving 2016

Thanksgiving week spent having fun in Newport and Riverside.

A little friendly bowling game isn't so friendly when Rylee is loosing . . . or Yaya for that matter!
When we got to the bowling alley Cooper didn't want ANY part of it so they left just as soon as they got there.  It was down to the kids and Yaya and I  . . . winner take all  . . . I mean bragging rights . . . and there was some serious bragging, by Me and Brady.

It's always fun going to check in on Nonnie and Papa.  Papa always puts the kids right to work and for some reason they don't complain when he tells them what to do.  I need him to give me a lesson

I love me a little Colby Miller!

Got to see Gramps at the beach and have some Chinese Happy Hour
Everyone wants to get their hands on baby Colby.  Lots of help.
Nonnie 92 years young!
Lucky for us it was a beautiful day to Celebrate Nonnie's birthday at the beautiful Mission Inn.
Girls lunch + Brady

I just love Brady and I especially love him for all his unique quirks. Just let that be a transition into the next part of the story.
Waking up on Thanksgiving morning is one of my favorite mornings maybe more than Christmas morning, only because of the food. The smells of everything cooking is just wonderful . . . wonderful that is unless you are Brady.  As the cooking was well under way I couldn't find Brady.  After looking and yelling for him, he emerged up the stairs from JJ's office holding his nose not looking super happy.  He said I do not like the way it smells in here, i'm going to hide down here until Thanksgiving is over!

Yaya the best multitasker!

How many cousins can you fit in a plastic playhouse?  All of them of course, Cooper and I are in there too you just can't see us!

Special moments with the Coopster. Chatting in the playhouse.

Dad started the breakfast club a couple years ago.  It started with 2 members (Rylee and JJ) and a love of Norms.  That has thus transitioned into any grandkid and or son in law that wants to go to Farmer Boys. It's usually a PJ only Club but for some reason this day the kids were dressed . . . strange!

Bradys' favorite Thanksgiving tradition is the Great Pumpkin Roll. They save their pumpkins and roll them down the drive way, run down and get them  and do it all over again until the pumpkins either land in the hole or split into a million pieces all over the drive way!

Just Rylee driving the old El Camino under the supervision of her 93 year old Great Grandfather and your 2 year old cousin in the passenger seat, fun times!

Halloween 2016 from the 50's

Halloween is great when everyone loves their costumes. This year was great!!
Rylee and this super cute costume from one of her dances last year so I though if I can get Brady on board we are golden.  Well, it worked!!
50's here we come!

Mom, Bryn, Coop and Colby came down for the annual Halloween parade at school.  Cooper was Bat Man Car but unfortunately it didn't last very long.  He was excited to walk around the parade with the kids until he saw the giant blow up T-Rex and ti was all over from there!  He sat with Brady's class for a long time waving at all the kids as they walked by, until something scary came walking by and then he high tailed it to the center where we were sitting.

VIP Seats for the Halloween party is really the only way to go!

Cooper enjoyed the kids class parties and Colby even got in on the action!

Auntie Nini as Bat Man Car!

Yaya and JJ didn't stay for Halloween night this year and the whole neighborhood missed them.  Everyone kept asking where is your dad? Who is going to sit on the porch and hand out candy?
I'm happy they got to come to the parade and then go watch Coop Trick or Treat.  I hope that Coop and Colby get the same fun memories as my kids even though we can't trick or treat together.

The Sweeney Nelsons came over as they do every year and it is just as chaotic as it is every year!!!  The kids are getting old enough to run from house to house and not get lost.  We still go with the whole neighborhood and that makes it fun too!

Hopefully I have a couple more years of family costumes!!  Wish me luck!!!
